Prayer Rally in Tennessee Affects Drug War
08/18/2011

People gathered on the courthouse mall in Huntsville Friday night to pray away Scott County's problems of drugs and unemployment.
"We have officers assigned to combat the drug problem, but it's not working. There's probably people in law enforcement who don't want to hear that, but it's not working," said Sheriff Mike Cross.
Cross and Scott County Commissioner David Day decided they needed divine intervention.
"When all else fails and we can't do nothing, we can take it to God, the one who can," Day told the crowd.
Scott County also has the highest unemployment rate in the state.
Local ministers of different denominations took turns at the microphone.
